I Randomly Feel Like Posting
Posted on October 31st, 2005Look at me go.
It’s been pretty busy these last few days. Thankfully, it hasn’t been with school! At least, not entirely π A few noteworthy experiences:
– The Silver Spur. I can’t believe that I’m mentioning this here, but whatever. While karaoke is not my thing, watching other people embarrass themselves was quite amazing π
– Ben and Sarah’s new place! I helped them prime and paint on Saturday with a few other friends. The place is really nice and I’m super jealous of their fireplace and crazy lighting!
– Elevation. I woke up and looked at my clock: 9:15. I groaned I felt like sleeping a bit more so, before I knew it, I was back asleep again. I woke up again and looked at my clock: 10:20. I was going to be late, and that somehow didn’t bother me this morning. Not in too much of a huff or a puff, though, I got ready and biked down. The day was really nice, so I even took some extra time to get there. I figured, since I was already late, what’s an extra minute or two? I arrived and went upstairs. The band was playing so I didn’t think I was overly late. I made my way up the stairs and, to my complete surprise, the room was devoid of people (save the band and a couple of people helpinh to set up). I looked at my cell phone, which almost laughed when it showed me the time: 9:55 am. I had forgotten about Daylight Savings Time. And who said God doesn’t have a sense of humour.
– Chapel. Did music with Rodney at St. Paul’s again (for the second week in a row). This time, we did nine songs for one of the music-centred services. Fortunately, we had a surprisingly talented vocalist sing so the generally quiet group could follow along to the generally unfamiliar music. She was one of three people I could hear: her, me, and Rodney. Hah!
– Morty’s. $2.99 for a 1/2 pound burger and fries? How can anybody* go wrong with that?
* vegetarians and non-red meat eaters not included π

If I play at chapel again, I’ll need to figure out how to get the attendees to sing louder.
Did you end up singing anything at Silver Spur? I imagine that you didn’t, but maybe Patricia managed to convince you. π

Tony: one of the frosh that lives on Penthouse… I highly doubt a name would help at all lol
Rodney: the day I sing at the Spur is the day that… I dunno… something that will never happen occurs. π
