The Hard Road
Posted on November 11th, 2005I have lots of work to do in the next couple of days and, yet, I agree to prepare something for Chapel on Sunday. Call me accomodating or call me idiotic, but I just can’t seem to say no to a lot of things.
Nevertheless, I have agreed to do something, and that something shall indeed be done. The topic is still up in the air, as is the status of the music (or, more precisely, the musicians). I’m thinking something along the lines of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, but that may be because I listened to that song recently. But I’m sure that I could make it work. As for the music, I can play, but I certainly can’t sing sufficiently loud. (Jeanette and/or Rodney, if you’re reading this, maybe you can bail me out? :P)
I guess Jesus was right when He suggested that the good life is a hard one. How fitting that, on this Remembrance Day, we pay tribute to those who went down the hard road for the greater good. And how easy to forget the sacrifices that were made for that greater good. Gosh, I hate taking things for granted.
Also, for those who pray, please keep my friend Kat’s family in your prayers; they recently suffered a loss and, well, I’m sure that they’d appreciate the support. Thanks.
