Almost Breathing
Posted on June 8th, 2006The end is almost near! After tomorrow evening, I will have seen my Co-op rankings, and will have written my third midterm. (I will have also eaten delicious food and will have drank delicious drinks, but those aren’t really causing much in terms of anxiety.) After that, school will be much less intensive (with just the weekly assignments and occasional midterm). Whew!
Before I start studying for my midterm tomorrow, I decided to participate in a street walk with the Oasis drop-in centre. Partially inspired by the events of last week’s book discussion, and partially inspired by a resolve to do more charitable works, I figured that it’s well worth a few hours on a Thursday evening.
Then, I put my chin down, shoulders low, and prepare for the final push towards the weekend of relative freedom! Sweet, sweet freedom!

I’m excited to find out where you’ll be working too. I’m sure you’re going to have a really exciting term. 🙂
I’m trying to get involved with some volunteer work in Vancouver. I’m doing something with Amnesty International later this month. I don’t actually know much about them but I’m hoping I’ll learn more and have more opportunities to volunteer with them.
