The Winds of Change…

Posted on May 3rd, 2004

So I moved from my temporary stay to St. Paul’s once again. A new room, a new setup. I think I’m most pleased with the way I have it set now; I have lots of space in the bedroom area, and the floor looks to be really good. It could be a very fun term, if all goes well!!

I also finished my co-op term at Legg Mason Canada… I was extremely happy with the term, and I plan on going back! They seemed to have liked me, too, so I’m very excited!! Hopefully, the next term will bring about new challenges and bigger projects. But now, I need to focus on my work term report, which is always looming whenever I go and watch hockey lol…

I’m also continuing my readings, which brings me to… *drum roll* Day 10: The Heart of Worship.

Here, Warren talks a lot about surrender.. in fact, it’s mentioned a ton of times throughout the chapter. In particular, he writes about surrendering to God, and how even the notion of giving up to anything has a negative connotation in today’s society. But he justifies surrendering to God using a number of verses from the Bible, and points that that, if we don’t surrender to God, we will inevitably surrender to an idol.

Question to Consider: What area of my life am I holding back from God?

Of all of the things, I think my service in this life is held back the most. I am still very self-serving, and I do a lot of things for my own benefit. While this is very natural to do, it often creates a very hostile atmosphere, since I become very competitive. But I need to learn how to take the focus away from me and turn it to God instead.

Your calendar bleeds onto the main content when the font size is increased. Can you fix that, please?

    Woah… you’ve been reading quite a ways back, haven’t you? 😛

I’ll see what I can do to fix the problem… I’ll proabably just have to hard-code (*shudder*) the width…
