Boo Public Transportation

Well I’m at home for a couple of days, hopefully catching some z’s and taking a break from the business of school, residence, and such. I’m physically at home, too, because I neglected to call anyone until this afternoon, when it was pretty much too late to figure out anything for tonight. But that’s ok; I can spend some of this time reading my latest book, Courageous Leadership.

Getting home was somewhat of a pain in the butt.. any time that I take the bus, it ends up being somewhat annoying. I’m still not over the fact that it takes over twice the amount of time to get home compared to if, for example, I were to drive. But such is the reality of life, and I’ve resigned myself to being a car-less, mobility-deprived student.

I think that I am going to be heading back to Waterloo on Sunday. This would let me have a good week or so of time to get some solid studying done… I’m still behind in all of my courses (even though midterms are either recently over or just on the horizon), so I have some urgent reading to get done. Boy, my karma for slacking off for the first month is pretty nasty!

But next week will not be all work.. I think that I’ll have the opportunity to go to Morty’s (mmmmmmmmmm), and hang out with some friends who are sticking around or are coming back early. I think that it will be nice to get away from a lot of the hustle and bustle that comes with being in a full residence and school week.

Before I forget, though, I should probably mention the results of the Feds election. Students First (who I supported) won VP, Internal and VP, Admin & Finance, while Team Blue (who I did not support whatsoever) won VP, Education and President. I think that it’s going to be a very interesting term, since I view these two groups as fairly opposite from each other. While I am disappointed that Students First lost a couple of key positions, I can take consolation that the VP, Internal is going to be filled by someone that I know and trust.

Anyhow, I feel a rush of yawns coming my way, so I think I’m going to get to bed soon. Yes, I realize what time it is, but I was up until some unholy hour last night working on some school work and on fixing the journal. One day, I promise, I’ll have my sleep schedule back! Ta ta for now!
