C is for Cookie

Having tried my hand at out-of-the-box cupcakes (three times now, and none of them were failures!), I have now graduated to cookies (from scratch)!

My first attempt is going to be Butter Pecan cookies (since I’m partial to sharing with my housemates and since one of these housemates is fasting from chocolate). Otherwise, I think I would have gone for some combination of peanut butter, chocolate, and marshmallows in a dark chocolate cookie. Kinda like smores, I guess. Mmmm… smores… those will have to wait until April 😛

I’ll report back on how well the cookies went after I eat dinner and bake!

Update: Success! I think… the cookies aren’t burnt, have the expected consistency, and taste pretty good! They’re not as soft as I’d like, but I’m happy for my first attempt. I only made 12 so I’m not sure how many will leave the house, but I’ll make more. I promise!
