Bibliotheque!

Anyone remember that Dominion commercial with the dude talking jibberish in French about how they have French bread? Colin (the bassist in the Embassy’s band) reminded me of the hilarity of that ad. Pure genius, I say.

What is not pure genius, however, is my current studying ability; I mean, I’m sitting here on the computer again after leaving in a vain attempt to study. My brain is just refusing to focus… it’s silly. I find myself opening Firefox to my Google page every few minutes only to find that very little, if anything, has changed. I don’t know what I’m hoping to see the next time I open up the browser.

Actually, this scatterbrain behaviour has been a reality for a few weeks now. I can’t really explain why I’ve been experiencing it, but I know that I have been noticing the effects for a while. Fortunately, my marks haven’t suffered (too much) from it, so I’m still scraping by in that respect. But it’s annoying to have my brain whip around a kazillion things until 2am, only to have it wake me up at 6 or 7 every morning. Bah, I say.

Bah, also, to the Carolina Hurricanes. They robbed Edmonton of what would have been a much sweeter (and deserving) victory.

I will, however, end this dumb post on a good note: my grandma is doing considerably better! She has regained much of her old strength, so her recovery continues to amaze those familiar with the situation. While her mental state isn’t really marvellous (she’s in an intermediate stage of Alzheimer’s), she’s still able to demonstrate great compassion and wisdom. So, thank God for this blessing!
