Jungle on my Head

Posted on Thursday, July 13th, 2006

My hair is going crazy!! I can pull the hair at the front of my head down to the tip of my nose and… well… the hair at the back of my head has been flirting with mulletness for a while now. And if I didn’t know better, I’d say that I didn’t have ears, either!

All this goes to say that I am in desperate need of a haircut. This has been an ongoing experiment to see if I could deal with long hair and the answer seems pretty clear to me. Long hair may have its advantages, but it’s not for me. Especially when I’m biking. Especially in the summer.

Hopefully this situation will be rectified over the weekend; I don’t know how much longer I can deal with this! I’ve even considered the prospect of shaving my head, although I’d bet that the sun will stop burning before I do that (unless it was for a good cause). But I think from now on, I’ll be staying away from long hair. It just doesn’t work.

Water

Water is good to drink.
Water is good to clean.
Water is good to jump into on a hot day.
Water is good in balloons when I’m feeling mean.
Water is good when cooking.
Water is good in your clothes in the washing machine.
Water is not good in your clothes for over two hours at school. 🙁

Cursed jeans!

In other news, I’m going to The Mongolian Grill (affectionately called “Mongo”) today for lunch!! Hopefully lots of delicious food will make me feel less crappy.

Brightest

Posted on Tuesday, July 11th, 2006

If you find yourself here on my side of town
I’d pray that you’d come to my door
Talk to me like you don’t know what we ever fought about
‘Cause I don’t remember anymore
I just know that she warms my heart
And knows what all my imperfections are
And she said that I was the brightest little firefly in her jar
And I just know that she warms my heart
And knows what all my imperfections are
And she said that I was the brightest little firefly in her jar
