Oh Rain

As the adage goes, “when it rains, it pours.” Looking outside of the office (I’m at work at the moment), I’m seeing plenty of grey clouds, and I’m definitely not looking forward to my walk home.

But the saying also held true for my life lately (although not so much over the past week or so)… with things snowballing on me, I was on edge more often than I would like. The good news is, though, that the Embassy Students’ Association-Feds fiasco is slowing coming to an end, and things are starting to settle down. That, however, leaves the door open for me to get hyper-involved in something else, and I’m pretty sure that will indeed be the case.

What next? Maybe another website. Maybe another hobby. Maybe something else… the topic of “time-value” has come up fairly often, and wasting my evenings is very poor time-value. I have been receiving some encouragement to take up piano again, and I just might end up doing that. Oh decisions…

Somewhat related to this is my consideration of going to another Sunday service. While Elevation is an awesome place (I love the atmosphere, music, and company), the things that I hear there are often the things that I hear on Monday night. On many occasions, it is nearly the same message. Now, I know that it’s not a bad thing to hear some of these things more than once, but I don’t think hearing it twice in as many days is particularly useful. I haven’t decided whether I will leave yet, but I’ll be praying about it.
