Good Friday

I like Fridays, but I can’t say that it’s my favourite day of the week (like so many other people do). Actually, now that I think about it, I can’t really pinpoint one day that is the best. But Friday is a very good day.

This particular Friday is/was a particularly good one. For some of my friends, it’s Co-op Ranking day. While this can be a dreadful day for some, it can be a very relieving and exciting day for others. And since I’m saying that today is particularly good, you can probably guess what kind of day it was for my friends!

I hear that John, Rodney, and Keith have some very good results: John has a couple of offers, Rodney has one amazing offer, and I don’t know what Keith has (since I haven’t heard directly from him) but I assume it’s something pretty solid. I said to John that this term saw some awesome postings, and I’m glad that some of my friends were able to take advantage! (I guess I’m a little jealous, too 😛 )

As for me, I was able to do lunch with someone I haven’t really hung out with in a long time: Jenna!! I think the last time we spent any substantial time together was almost two years ago, when we were practicing for our performance at the Blackforest coffee house. It was really great to catch up and see where we are. It appears that she, too, is crazy busy on a week-to-week basis so it was reassuring to find out that I wasn’t alone! We even talked briefly about Blackforest and, who knows, maybe we’ll reprise that first performance 🙂 Hopefully it won’t be another 2 years until we get a chance to sit down again, though hehe..

My prof came by today and saw the progress that I was making and he seemed to be pretty happy about it. Score! Hopefully I won’t be unemployed by the time March rolls around (since I’m still way ahead of schedule)!

And for tonight, I think I’m headed up to John’s place to get in on some bbq action. I’ll probably get some more steaks from Zehr’s while the price is amazing and cook one up 😀 I should make a toast to great friends and great Friday.

I like Fridays.
