Posted on March 23rd, 2005Even though it is one of my favourite Our Lady Peace songs, I haven’t listened to it for quite some time. Yesterday, I was toying with the idea of playing at the ESA’s Coffee House and this song came to mind. So I pick up the guitar, flip to the lyrics and.. wow. I never realized how dark they really were. But they also reminded me of conversations that I’ve recently had which, ironically enough, seem to end fairly late in the night (or early in the morning, if you want to look at it that way). *ponders* Weird.

I’m excited that you’re going to play/sing! You definitely should.

Well, I should clarify that me “toying with the idea” does not necessarily imply that I am committing to it ๐ Maybe after I find a second guitarist, I’ll start talking commitment!

oh come on! you know you want to…. you know you will. you don’t really have the capacity to say “no.” (that’s a recent observation I’ve made.) so, really, the decision’s already been made. ;P

I was never asked, so there is nothing to which I would say “yes” or “no.” Thus, I feel no obligation to play at this point in time ๐

Actually, that’s not true. Steve asked if the band that I threw together for Black Forest could play. But then I simply refused. So.. yeah.
